DR. T’s FAVORITE WHOLE GRAIN BREAKFAST RECIPE

I discovered this recipe many years ago in a Seventh Day Adventist cookbook given to me by a patient using that diet to nutritionally manage his medical conditions. I tried several variations and settled on the mix below after reading an article about Purple Prairie Barley, an heirloom variety from Tibet studied on U.S. farms and now grown in Montana. It is higher in plant protein and beta glucans than other grains. It also has a nuttier flavor I appreciate.
